Dr Habeb is the ASPED Secretary General and the Chairman of Pediatrics at the National Guard Hospital, Madinah, KSA.  He was trained the UK and practiced at consultant level for 5 years before moving to Madinah to develop the pediatric endocrine unit. Dr Habeb is an examiner for the UK Royal College of Pediatrics and Child health, the coordinator of the ASPED-ESPE Academy and a steering committee member for the ASPED – ISPAD Diabetes Academy.  He lectured in various countries and served in scientific committees of many conferences. His research focuses on monogenic diabetes and has published in different aspects of Pediatric Endocrinology.
