Roopa Mehta is an endocrinologist and researcher in the Department of Endocrinology and
Metabolism at the INCMNSZ. She is also a physician at the Hospital Angeles Pedregal, Mexico
City. She is an Associate Professor in both pre- and postgraduate endocrinology programs,
and is an investigator for phase 2 and phase 3 clinical trials.
Dr Mehta undertook her medical training at the United Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s
and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London, UK. She subsequently trained as an endocrinologist at the
INCMNSZ. On completing the residency program, Dr Mehta subspecialized in diabetes and
metabolism and gained further clinical and investigative experience rotating at the Joslin
Diabetes Center, Boston, MA, USA. She holds a Doctorate in Medical Sciences and has
published multiple articles in indexed journals. She is a coordinator of the National Mexican
FH Registry.
